As a artist and cartoonist, I'm always trying to change my faces
Most artists have a face that they do, and you can tell the artist's work from the face of the doll

But I really try to strive towards faces that are all different
Which is done by manipulating cloth
Sometimes I get a little carried away
As with this Mermaid,
I call Fish Face
a melancholy girl all puckered up
ready to kiss her Sailor!

this collection of Mermaids can be seen at

Living in Florida, Mermaids are a part of my daily life
The winter season is the most beautiful time of year, the weather is still warm
and the Springs and Beaches are filled with colorful Mermaids

As the Snow-Birds return to play in the our tropical paradise
Florida will open her warm sun-filled arms

Back to creating dolls,
although I sewed on the plane and on my trip, I seem to never be without a needle and thread
This is Angel-maid, one of the many Christmas Dolls I'll make this season

This mermaid along with several others

I spent my birthday at Disney, chasing TinkerBell and dancing on Main Street,
and trying to sneek into the Castle!
My favorite Mermaid
Mickey and his Friends keep guard at the Castle
a late afternoon Ferry Ride
and I flew off to the Midwest
I brought Indian Summer with me
Look Mom, it's a plane, it's a bird, no it's Kaerie Faerie
The old neighborhood was brilliantly dressed up for my visit

My Childhood home, lovely that some things never change
The trees were breath-taking
a visit home always includes the city of Chicago
and the Art Institute of Chicago
relaxing in the gardens on the Lake front
after many hours of viewing historical art
Coming home
My Mother's studio, my favorite place in the house

While waiting for the guests to arrive, Gwendolyn, the little Gargoyle that has been living in my back yard, tried to fly
We practiced out in the back field

But she became disinterested in flying, because a strong smell of green mouse stew
floated through the field

The Witch Bats had arrived at the Ball

A group of Spice Devils whisked the Gargoyle off to the Ball

The Mummy Ladies, took her for a spin around the floor
Fluff bugs, spun around their feet

Wind Slyphs gently rode the wind on fall leaves

Skele Diva made a grand appearance

And the Theater Witch added a few magical potions to the stew

Theater Witch mingled with Devil Diva and Vampire Girl
Careful not to step on fluff bugs, which seemed to be everywhere

The enchanting Vampire Kitty danced with his favorite Girl

The Bat Diva announced her arrival in a brisk breeze of fluff bugs

And the Spice Devil Girls all came to the Ball

Dressed in their finest party outfits
and dancing boots

Everyone squeezed together for the party picture

Happy Halloween
have a dance and don't forget to have a sip of green mouse stew

must not forget to thank the wonderful Miss Vanessa over at A Fancilful Twist
for all the wonderful Halloween Parties this weekend

A quick snooze

And my party partner Gwendolyn, and I will be off to party hop until the sun comes up

the collection of Halloween Dolls are in my shop
