Doll House Faeries

The little Mommies of the Faerie World

appeared late in the evening

By morning these lovely ladies had found

a comfortable place to live

Up in the Attic the nest were awaiting

new eggs

New Pink Rosebud faeries and baby buds

still tweeking the bodies hope to put some in my shop in the new year!

South of Key West

there lies the

Dry Tortugas

where great Lagerhead Turtles

swim among the

coral heads

This be paradise for a little Pixie Pirate

named

Rusty

in the old lighthouse

she watches the jewels

a very important job

keeping

the treasure of her Master

safe

she wears a Pirate and Crossbone pouf skirt

and red corset jacket

she loves her tri-cornered feathered

hat

peaceful palm breezes no ships in site

the stringing part is always

about the birth of a

doll

and very exciting

it is when hours of sculpting work

comes together

I never string until I'm completely finished

so I never really know how the doll will look when she is

strung

I suppose it is a weird way to work

but all the joints and pieces always fit perfectly

this is when she gets to pose for me

holding one of these little dolls in hand

is the reason I no longer want to

create soft sculpture
