A LITTLE WORK AND A LOT OF DOLLIE PLAY

Ball jointed
Dollie #15
the stringing part is always
about the birth of a
doll
and very exciting

it is when hours of sculpting work
comes together

I never string until I'm completely finished
so I never really know how the doll will look when she is
strung
I suppose it is a weird way to work
but all the joints and pieces always fit perfectly

this is when she gets to pose for me

holding one of these little dolls in hand
is the reason I no longer want to
create soft sculpture

little faeries in my imagination come to life

A NEW LOVE OF TINY FASHION

The most wonderful
Christmas Present!
a hand-made wardrobe
a month ago I drew some sketches and my friend Bob of
created a dream come true
a fabulous space to display all the
Blythe Artwear

Early Spring I was bitten badly by the Blythe Bug
these adorable big-eyed cuties, have so much character
Since then I have collected and made lots of tiny fashion
Wanting to display them, I found most collectors keep the doll dresses
in a box.
But it is much more fun to display the clothing like Art
Great inspiration and imagination

Fits perfectly on my desk
where I can see everything, and continue creating tiny Fashion

If you would like a wardrobe built

FAERIES IN THE HOUSE

Elfin faeries just had to check out the fairy doll house
the size was perfect!
So far
the doll house has all of it's inside furniture,
still working on moss and ivy
on the walls and floors

the bathroom has a antique petal bowl
for a bath tub

the word is spreading
and soon more faeries will appear in the house

NEW OBSESSION TINY FAERIES

As I move closer to the end of the year
my Art and doll-making has taken a new direction.

Packed away all my soft sculpture and fiber work, never thought that would happen,
working in clay gives my dolls such dimension, and character.

I have truly become obsessed with creating
ball jointed dolls
this past year I found it harder and harder to complete soft dolls
so I've decided to work in clay
in 2012

these tiny faeries have taken over
quick to make and fast to dry
I will have a Studio filled with tiny faeries
before the end of the year!
Soon I'll start mold making and casting
2012 is going to be spectacular!!!

The Pirates of Key West
wait patiently for the
great Ships

from the balcony of the house on the beach
they watch the Ships crash into the
reefs

then off they scurry to their boats

the bountiful treasure awaits
waiting for her Captain in his quarters
the Pixie Pirate
hopes to get a shiny gold bauble
