BLOG WHY BOTHER?

I have noticed in recent months that I have been neglectful of my 

blog

it is all Instagram's fault

unlike the camera the phone is attached to my body at all times

how did this happen?

linking to all sites has also made it to easy to 

forget the camera

being an obsessed doll maker

my hands always seem to be covered in clay

not wishing to mess up my camera I grab the phone

excuses excuses

This is my beloved Journal 

a diary of my dollmaking!

for the upcoming Halloween Season

Although blogging seems to becoming passe

trying to remember my blog is how I started learning to use my computer

and never should be neglected

PORCELAIN VERSUS FLUMO

dolls created in porcelain

poured slip in plaster molds

and fired in a kiln many times

Flumo dolls

air dry slip poured in plaster molds 

air dried and painted

also called cold porcelain

has a heavier feel

same mold

 like how the doll shrinks in porcelain

so tiny

I collect both types of dolls and have used both medias

do love the Flumo

but nothing feels like porcelain
