ANA AND SAILOR

Ana is the first ball jointed doll
from my
Mousefeather Collection

although I have thought about this Collection for some time
I guess it took a few years to get it all together
the way I envisioned it

but finally here she is
a single ball jointed doll barely 9 inches tall

a child-like fairy

dancing in the sun

Sailor wanted to meet

and play

mesmerized by her beauty

pretty little fairy dress & hair next

THE EYES HAVE IT

Been experimenting again
watched a tutorial on eye making on
looking to make eyes for my
Attic Ghosts
I used gel medium on this batch

My little Mousefeather doll is almost done
done sanding and drilling
painting and hair next!

WEEKEND OF CARTOON INDULGENCE

Attic Ghosts
been awhile since I just played with clay

and spent a rainy weekend
making cartoon characters
Mousefeather Girl

In my Studio Tweet found a comfy nest
and Ella sweetly sits in a twig chair

THE RESULT

A new day
everything always looks brighter the morning after
My mold experiments
Well,
this set was better, but I lost two molds, the body and upper legs
I suppose I will make some sort of doll
using a soft body and casted parts
But
for now I need a break
and look forward to creating sweet little
one of a kind dollies

EXPERIMENTS FAIL

When artistic endeavors become
over-whelming it is nice to be
reassured by sweet little
faces

ROUND TWO

On to the second set of molds
tossed out the first set
the plaster mix was not good, they were
crumbly

Made a ooak sculpt, two heads
also decided to go with the clay box,
the pieces are so small

learned a lot from the first set of molds,
this set will be perfect
and my Mousefeather Dolls
shall be born!

FI FI A FRENCH FAE

Fi Fi
loves the great music salon at the
French Palace
she sits on the velvet pillows
and waits until everyone has left the room

then she samples all the cakes and sips the Champagne

she hovers about in her pink hoop skirt

doesn't take much pink frosting to fill her up

she looks like a piece of cake

Fi Fi is in my shop

LOTS OF CLAY WIP

Little French Fi Fi
all strung
up

The last French Fairy for awhile

the beginnings of a new sculpt
stone clay

and my molds still drying
I think they will make great push molds

the next set will be perfect!

JUST NOT READY TO GIVE UP

Since my experiments with mold making
seems all I can think about!
March truly came in like a Lion
armed with the experience of my 1st try,
determined to do it again
"Better"

started another doll, working on her core

she will be sculpted out with paper stone clay
