SLOWING DOWN

Sculpting in ceramic clay has been a whirlwind  since taking up this medium last year. Lots of dollies, working at perfecting movement. The enjoyment has not waned, yet as I end my first exhibit In a gallery, the question is what do I do next? Knowing what I want to sculpt is not a problem. I  want to sculpt nudes painted fairies, unfortunately I'm finding that still this is inappropriate even in today's culture.  Even if it is fantasy or cartoonish. So now I  have to decide whether to sell online, or continue to get my work into galleries. Never thought artistic decisions would be so hard.

A WISP FOR ME

I love this soft doll, have made her several times over the years, but always let her be adopted. This Willow Wisp is for me,  and she makes me smile.

DRESS FORM

Finally was able to purchase a dress maker's dress form YAY so wonderful to have the real thing, donated my 20 year old plastic one. I named her Mabel after a dress form in my grandmother's attic it was black metal and horsehair. Oh the fun we will have together, she is wearing the underslip Prisella Tina Givens pattern.

BUNNY QUEEN

Bunny has one of the most prettiest faces I have ever done. It is very hard for me to be light handed. She is currently awaiting information on what gallery she will be in.

THE VAMPIRE PET

My last ceramic doll with velvet cushioned ceramic stool, chained so she can't escape.  Finished my original series of puppets all with chairs in ceramic and twigs. Now I'm off to celebrate with a dreamy mini vaca swimming with mermaids and ID&T doll convention this weekend, so fun
