SWEET FACES

With the Holidays a few days away
my life has become hectic
Baking, cooking, shopping
and decorating

Sometimes it is just nice to take a minute and sit at my desk and look at something
beautiful
So I adopted Abby

Abby was created by one of my favorite doll artists
and sweet friend
Evelyn

I was so excited to be able to get another one of her special dolls
Kitty has been kinda lonely

Sailor is always happy to make new friends

Evelyn art work is so peaceful and tranquil to look at
gives me a serene feeling in the midst of Holiday frazzle
Check out Evelyn's Shop and Blog
and get yourself a little
tranquility

and in the meantime, while gazing dreamily at dollies
Pinkie has been dressed

Pinkie is part of my Mousefeather Collection of Dolls
Japanese paper-clay ball jointed primitive style
fairies

10 inches tall and ready to play
she is in my shop

resting up before the decorating starts!

MERFAERIE AND HER WATER BABIES

Central Florida has many lakes and rivers
Beautiful farm land dotted with ponds filled with
lily pads

some of the most elusive mermaids can be found
swimming

with flame red hair, often mistaken for large goldfish

shy water babies
swim close to their Mother

Keeping a keen eye out for Alligators
Merfaes have wings to help in their
escape
a Mother and her Children

STUDIO EXPLOSION

This happens every time
I have control issues
Not being able to get the clay to look the way I imagine
sends me into soft sculpture frenzy
I know, I have only been playing around with clay for a year
but not having control over this substance makes me crazy
and a
explosion of fabrics start flying
this time was the worst
I have reverted back to early fabric sculpture
no ball joints
and I started four big rag doll style Faeries

and a Gown for a formal event this month

a new Mermaid Costume for all the
Boat Parades

and all this has to be cleaned up
so the Christmas Decorations
can come out

Best thing to do is close the door
and go watch a movie!
