DANDELION KITTIES

Springtime

has finally arrived!

With two days of rain

the grass is finally getting green

and Dandelions are sprouting up tall and skinny

in Faerie Land they look like kitties!

Posing and waiting

for their beautiful yellow frocks and wings!

that is what my Captain said when he came out to the terrace to check out my Art Work

I guess they sort of do!

But actually, these are my new dolls

La Garconne Girls

(means tomboy in French)

soft sculpture with paper clay added here and there

I just love working with LaDoll paper clay

my faces in clay are so different than my soft sculpture faces

and the features are big, especially the noses!

Finally enjoying the weather

and experimenting in Twigs Faerie Land

MAD HATTER & WHITE RABBIT

March roared in like a lion, with cold frosty air, and blustery winds

the long cold winter in Florida, seems to be relentless

and I have been bed bound with the flu!

But with the winds, came the Mop Top Faeries

with tattered wings from being caught up in the thistle bushes

I felt it was appropriate to dress them up in soft satin silk rompers

tailed coats and felt boots

A roses covered top hat, and robin hood ears for the other

With all the little hats made, and the fairies dressed

I gazed into those dreamy sweet eyes

and hoped for warmer days
