BLUE PIXIES
Florida has many tropical plants, my favorite is the Plum Bago, it grows very wild and very large, with its tiny blue flowers, it has a nesting look
I approached this large plant slowly, one afternoon and found pixies buzzing around the flowers
Pretty blue ladies, with delicate wings
What a prefect place to live, plenty of green leaves to nestle into, and blue nectar to drink
Summer time in Florida is such a magical place
These little Blue Pixies will be in my Etsy Shop Friday

RED WHITE AND BLUE, AND PINK FAIRY DUST
Happy 4th, a busy weekend for most, picnics, the beach
I'm also busy, working marine dispatch all weekend
But these three spindly Sprite Faeries are keeping me entertained
I hung some red ribbons from the ceiling and the acrobatics started happening
swinging, and cartwheeling
Tilly, Tootsie and Tina, will keep me smiling all weekend
All three Sprite Faeries can be found in my Etsy shop

BUTTERFLY DRESS
I'm sending my beloved Butterfly Dress, Hand dyed Silk, Hand Painted

I made this dress when I was 21, my style hasn't changed much except now, I make dresses for fairy dolls

This dress represented freedom, starting my adult life in the Art and Fashion business, fulfilling all my dreams
Most of my dreams have come true,
so I'm sending my good luck Butterfly Dress
I hope it will provoke a reaction as a symbol of freedom for the Women of Juarez

SUMMERTIME BUG PARADE
It was late morning when the March Hare strolled into the yard, followed closely by two pigs with wings, nudging him adoringly! Looking dapper after a wild and frolicking night on the farm. The Court Rabbit joined him blowing his horn, announcing the arrival of all the lovely bugs and fairies!
The Parade to the Tea Party
In the lead Dogwood, followed by three top hatted Fairy Flys, Mary Moth trying to keep the Bumble Bee twins from buzzing away, Chickadee birds chirped a little tune
Betsy Bumble Bee and Butterfly Kitty flitted over a green wagon
Bringing up the rear of the Parade Dorthea Dragonfly, the prettiest blue bug!
On they marched to the Great Grandfather Tree
This is where the Tea Party would be, hosted by the lovely Fairy Maiden and her Prince Frog
The Fairy Maiden was so excited to see the March Hare, but the Frog Prince still wanted a kiss, The Fairy Maiden puckered up, but she was undecided, afraid she might turn into a Frog if she gave him a kiss, this would be a waste of such a beautiful fairy dress. She would wait until the tea party was over before she would give her Prince a kiss!
They all Paraded to the tree, where a long table with a white cloth was laiden with honey cakes and sun tea. With the March Hare at the head of the table the afternoon was a delightful sight of tea slurping and air kissing, and lots of giggling from all the gooey cakes.
And Dogwood and I entertained the group and danced away the afternoon!
THE SUMMERTIME BUG PARADE OF DOLLS ARE NOW IN MY ETSY SHOP
I would like to thank Vanessa at afancifultwist, for having the 2nd annual Mad Hatter Tea Party
And my good friend Terry, for hosting the Parade in her beautiful backyard!
With my wings securely fastened, I'm off to visit all the Tea Parties!

ALL DRESSED UP
Today was one of those hot sultry summer days, sitting in my studio I noticed a flash of color in the yard.
The Fairy Flys had taken the bait, all dressed up in pretty dresses, top hats and shoes
I ran outside quickly, shy little fairies such as these three, could disappear with the wind.
I spoke softly, I'm so glad you are joining the Bug Parade to the Mad Hatter Tea Party.
I blew kisses in the air, see you Sat.
THIS COLLECTION OF THE SUMMERTIME PARADE OF BUGS AND OTHER DOLLS ARE NOW IN MY ETSY SHOP
FINALE DOLL "FAIRY MAIDEN" WILL BE LISTED FRIDAY

FAIRY FLYS
Fairy Flys, elusive, shy, little fairies.
I found these wispy girls in the country fields, fluttering about the frosted grass
Pink pearl skin and white sparkle hair, these fairies are the keepers of the wild flowers
I hoped that I could find a way to invite these pretty little fairies to the Tea Party
Now, most faeries can be tempted with sweets, or beautiful dresses, but because these girls lived among the wild flowers and honey bees, it would be much harder to tempt them. They wore very little clothing, a sprig of grass or a leaf seemed to be the only adornment over their lovely pink skins
So I made cute little bright colored frocks and shoes and top hats covered with flowers
I set them out at the edge of my yard near some frosted grass, now I would wait and see if they take the bait!

THE BUG SISTERS
I got a call from a friend that lives along a beautiful old Floridian canal, lush and tropical.
I took a walk over to her house and became mesmerized by the ballet of dragon flies swooping and flying, and gently landing on strands of grass.
I almost forgot the reason she called, the Bug Sisters had taken up residence among the plants on her pool deck.
I entered the pool area, and there they were, Dorthea Dragon Fly

Felicia Flutter Bug
Betsy Bumble Bee
All dressed up in their summertime frocks, I asked if they would like to come to the Mad Hatter Tea Party. The Grand Parade would be Saturday June 27th!
The girls happily accepted the invitation and wondered if the Chickadee birds would also be coming?
Yes, please come and meet me under the Oak Tree.
The March Hare was going to be so happy to see all these lovely ladies, joining him for a afternoon tea!
