Petal Faeries

are very important to

Faerie Rings

and these two Princess Faeries

found the spot

where the Midnight Dance would take place

in order for the ring to appear

Petal Faeries sprinkle magical seeds

to grow the tiny mushrooms that will make the ring

The Petal Faeries alway choose the perfect spot

in a clearing

in the forest

beneath a roof of oak and mossy lace

I marveled at this beautiful place

and wished I could be a fairy

for one special night

to dance until dawn

FIRE FLY FAES

This evening I was puttering around my studio

finishing some pretty little gowns

When I heard a tiny tapping

I looked out into the evening landscape

peeking in a corner of the window

all a glow

a Fire Fly Fae

I saw another flicker of light in the trees

and then there were two

Fire Fly Faes

come out at Sunset

so I had heard the stories

I was so excited to see this lovely pair

I gave them the new gowns I had been working on

the silks swirled around their tiny feet

These Fire Fly Faes

were on their way to the

Midnight Faerie Ring

to light up the forest

with their neon glow

THE BUTTERFLY DRESS & HER FAERIE GOWN SISTERS

Oh, no you didn't

Well I did!

I cut up one of my beloved faerie dresses

It all started with the Midnight Faerie Ring Collection of Dolls

I figured it would be a good way to use old ArtWear

The Butterfly Dress and her lovely Pink Sister Dresses

have been hidden away in a dark cedar closet for 30 years

and as I look at all the pretty flowers and vines, and remember the rustle of the soft silk skirts I can imagine

these dresses having a new life

on a beautiful girl

The Story

a long time ago, I worked in the warehouses of Chicago as a fitting model for

Zarahoff a fabulous talented young designer

I became one of her house-models

as a house-model, you are always seen in the Designer's clothing

So, for my first trip to Europe with the Designer

I made this Collection of Gowns and Dresses

as a way to keep my identity

I would show up at the Shows and the Galleries

dressed in one of my Designs

I would quickly have to exchange my dress for one of the Designers

These dresses would never be worn for more than a few minutes

But long enough to make a entrance

so the nick-name

Kaerie-Faerie

I've decided to put this Collection in my Etsy Shop

and hopefully these beauties will be given a new life

and get to go to a great party!

All these Dresses are One of A Kind hand-painted Silks and Water-colored Chiffons

embellished with crystals and fairy beads

BLUE BELL FAERIES

I took another visit to the Lake Yale Forest

to see if the Blue Bell Faeries

were happy with their dresses

The forest is safer for humans during the day

it is a strange mix of Royal Palms and mossy lace

covered Oaks

But I found these two Blue Faeries

sitting on a low branch

Blue Faeries stay in the trees during the day

in the shade

out of the sun

being rocked to sleep by Summer breezes

in the Great Oak Trees

Pretty Blue Faeries

waiting for the night

and to dance in the

Midnight Faerie Ring

Blue Bell Faeries

are now in my shop

PINK BLOSSOM FAERIES

Delicate little faeries

that live along Lake Yale

playing hide and seek

in the lacy moss

They came for a visit

and sang a sweet little song

it sounded like tinkling bells

I gave them wispy water-colored gowns

and hair wreaths

made with fragrant berries

They sang of their lovely home in the forest

and the Midnight Faerie Dance

These two Pink Blossom Faeries

are soft ball jointed dolls

and they are now in my shop

FAERIE RINGS

Now that we are deep into the Summer

the air is thick with heat

and in the coolness of the evening

under a large clear moon

Faeries often dance in circles in the grass

which are called faerie rings

This can spell danger for any human passerby

The wild enchantment of the faerie music can

lead you towards the ring

like a faerie kiss or faerie food and drink

Can lead to captivity forever in the world of

Faerie

But this is also the time of year when the Faerie Atelier

is the busiest

Faeries of all kinds, pass through my country yard

in search of the Faerie Dressmaker

with a song or a fairy story

I will gladly design a lovely dress

or necklace

and so the season of the Midnight Faerie Rings
